Bobby Jones's life took a downturn after the 2008 financial crash, leading him to a quiet life in Westmouth with his second wife, Emma, and her rebellious stepdaughter, Dom. He thought the worst was behind him, until one fateful night, home alone, he pressed play on a pornographic video... and saw the last face he expected staring back at him.

The discovery shatters his world, a confrontation turns into seduction, and Bobby is drawn into a torrid affair fueled by secrets and burgeoning desire.

Soon, he's entangled not only with the rising star, "Dominique D'Ville," but also her intelligent and assertive friend, Mel, and the vulnerable Amber. He even finds himself auditioning for the industry he stumbled into. Yet, amidst the escalating sexual encounters and moral compromises, Bobby learns the most staggering secret of all.

A web of lies threatens to tear everything apart. But instead of destruction, an unexpected path emerges—one that challenges every notion of marriage, fidelity, and family. Can they forge a new future from the wreckage of their secrets, or will The Lies They Lead consume them all?

Dive into Marc Nobbs's The Lies We Lead, a gripping, character-driven erotic novel exploring the complex interplay of secrets, sexuality, power, and the surprising ways families adapt.

A well written book that requires a bit of suspension of reality

This is the first book written by this author that I have reviewed. When you read the abstract, your first inclination is to treat it as a badly written porn movie. However, once you get into the book, you find that it is well-written, you can identify with the characters, and you are intrigued to see how the author resolves the very tricky situation. Except for the ending, which does seem a bit contrived, the book was a pleasure to read. Recommended.
