If you're looking for an inspirational story about a hero who overcomes adversity... put this book down immediately. You've got the wrong guy.
My name is Lucky. And despite what my name suggests, the universe has made it a personal hobby to kick me while I'm down, dust me off, and kick me again just for good measure.
I'm a broke scholarship kid surrounded by rich snobs, doing everything I can to keep my bank account out of total collapse. But when a single moment of misplaced heroism goes horribly wrong, my already fragile life completely unravels, leaving me trapped under a mountain of consequences I can't afford.
Now I'm just trying to survive high school, dodge my disasters, and make it to graduation without losing what's left of my sanity.
Read this book. At the very least, it'll make your own life look fantastic by comparison.
But anyway… Ciao
