Book 5 in the series: Omniscient: Revolution
It is January 1st, 1990, the announcement has been made, and the world is forever changed. Will John survive the gauntlet he's thrown?
SynGas is a revolution. By harnessing the waste heat of his intrinsically safe thorium reactors to synthesize clean, high-octane fuel straight from the atmosphere, thirteen-year-old physicist Dr John Cook has effectively decoupled modern civilization from the oil well.
He didn't just build a better fuel, he bought the plumbing. By taking ARCO private ahead of the reveal, John checkmated the cartel before a single gallon ever hit the pump. Now, with chaos on Wall Street, billion-dollar solar thermal arrays to build in the Arizona desert, and the United States military showing keen interest, the old rules of power are officially obsolete.
But the oil giants and hidden adversaries aren't going down quietly. The fight for the future has only just begun.
Thorium nuclear power was just the first step. Can the world handle a future of cheap, clean energy? Can John survive the Revolution?

Upgraded and Worth It
Reviewed it on March 13, 2026
I hesitate to buy rewrites but sometimes it is worth it. This one is. The author expanded on the original in a very relatable way. The length expanded by three times which adding details that made it very much more realistic and enjoyable.
