A Classic from one of the great authors of the SOL

It has been awhile since Colt45 published anything but what he wrote was simply great - good characters, witty and believable dialogue, and interesting plots. The Sea King is a very good introduction to this series. It is one of those stories that you keep going back to because it is that good. The only problem - the stories not being released in the correct order (minor issue). However, I strongly recommend that you buy and read this book. It is totally enjoyable. I hope that the entire Colt45 series are released on this site since it would recognize the quality of this author. Buy it and learn about Dent and his three wives (four in the future). Colt45 has done a great job of creating a whole every bit as interesting as that of the Middle Kingdom (for you LotR fans).

Don't know who was authorized to 'publish' Colt45's works here, but whoever it is... I salute you. As far as can be determined, no one has heard from the author for at least 10 years now.
Colt45 has long been one of my favorite authors on SOL. I find myself reading through almost all of his work posted there roughly every year to eighteen months.
The world-building and writing in these two linked stories ('Quest for Knowledge' being a sequel to 'Sea King') are well done and the stories are well worth reading. 'Shasta's Tale' is a middle story in the trilogy and should be considered a 'part 2' of this one. Not to mention that I have often speculated that the world of 'Sea King' is the same as several of his other stories and possibly the 'far' future of the 'Mayhem' series, or his story titled 'Positive Reinforcement'.
