Clara returns home after six years of enduring harsh discipline and psychological abuse. The war has left both her and her brother Craig physically and emotionally damaged. The manor itself, once grand, is now neglected and empty. Their reunion is bittersweet, filled with memories of happier times and the pain of separation. Both siblings struggle with their changed selves and circumstances.
In Clara’s bedroom, a mysterious mirror has been added, said to have originated from the Tower of London and possibly witnessed historical tragedies. The mirror becomes a portal to disturbing visions and alternate realities, reflecting not only Clara’s trauma but also her suppressed desires and fears. Through the mirror, Clara sees versions of herself and Craig, showing scenes of intimacy, violence, and forbidden longing.
Clara is torn, is the mirror a tool of the devil, or a friend trying to save her sanity.

I could not put it down, read it right through. Sexualy graphic and dares to explore the attraction between a brother and sister damaged physically and mentaly in the war and now only have each other to turn too.
The sister is taunted, or perhaps tempted, by her alter-ego in an antique mirror, daring her to take the forbidden step and seduce her brother.
Look forward to visiting Moondark Manor again, more please!
