Living in Sin
by Al Steiner
Language: English
Categories: Fiction » Literature
Content Rating: Older than 17
Two single-parent sheriff’s deputies move into a wealthy, uptight neighborhood and accidentally set off a storm of paranoia, lust, and suburban meltdown. As judgmental neighbors spiral, sexually frustrated housewives come calling. Amid threesomes, gossip, and chaos, Scott and Maggie discover their friendship hides something deeper. Darkly funny, raw, and fearless, Living in Sin is a satire of morality, desire, and the lies we live behind picket fences. A starkly realistic look at the lives and loves of average, everyday cops.

"All I want is Truth and Justice!"
Well written, highly sexual and gritty. Mr. Steiner grew up in a police family, and it shows. His descriptions and dialogues between characters ring true, and could easily be made into a movie. Very detailed and realistic portrayal of encounters with offenders, who are predominantly damaged and have made very poor life choices. Al Steiner also paints a very convincing portrait of "petty dictators" who do their best to manipulate and control other people. I am convinced that earlier in his life he came in a contact with a psychopathic, narcissistic woman whose first name started with "J".
