When Mia moved in next door I fell in love. We were buddies, at first, but I wanted more. She was way out of my league, though, so all I did was dream. Then, one night, I heard my dream girl fighting off one of my peers who wouldn't take no for an answer. So I convinced him to take no for an answer. That was the night I became a bully. I liked how it felt, to be on the other side of things. It was a little addictive. So I became a vigilante for justice and protected the innocent. Until, that is, the innocent started doing some stupid things and needed to be convinced not to do them anymore. To Mia I was her white knight, except that my armor got tarnished and black. So I lost her. Years later, after a bunch of run-ins with the law, I finally got my act together and even went to church. And Mia was there. And she talked to me. She didn't hate me after all. In fact, she didn't hate me even a tiny little bit. And that's when my life became super confusing. In the end, Mia caused me to become a bully and she saved me from the darkness that lived inside me. Most of us don't get that lucky.
