Great Read

I read the original on the parent site of Book.apy. It was an excellent read then, and it continues to be a great re-read. Paul Phenomenon created a story that builds on probable events, believable characters, and a plot line that will please many people. Plot wise he has a story that has an excellent thematic flow. His MC is powerful but not overpowering. The character grows as he "remembers" elements of his past. Technically speaking this version of the story is clean and I found no glaring errors. The original on the parent site is a good tale, but this version is a polished gem. I have access to the original but chose to purchase this version to support the author. Excellent story.

Ticks all the extra-legal white hat boxes

This has a procedural element, protecting the weak and justice that will appeal to the left and a gun rights protection kick-ass businessman that will appeal to the right. The main character's thoughts tell rather than show, but in an acceptable mechanism. This is an action thriller with a light touch of science fiction or supernatural. No one is perfect here, which really helps sell the characters. The arcs and overall plot develop, progress and conclude satisfyingly. This is the sort of trashy novel that is great to read on the beach or aeroplane. Wrongs righted, naughties named, dirty deeds dealt. Legally questionable, but unashamed enough to sleep well at night. You might learn something about your own moral position reading this, but it is pretty self-selecting. Enjoy.

It is a good story, I think it ended well but I think there should be more book from this one as well.
