Pursuit of Identity
Every writer should have something that makes their work uniquely their own, right? At least, that’s what I’m trying to create for myself.
Beyond my storytelling and narrative style, I want my books to have a distinctive identity, something that immediately feels different from the others. So, I’ve decided to give all of my book covers a retro, pixelated video game aesthetic. And I intend to keep that style for every book I create from now on, at least until the day I finally stop writing.
As for my stories themselves, I suppose one of the things that has become most characteristic of my work is how they keep moving from one country to another. Each story has its own setting, its own atmosphere, and its own little journey across the world.
It may seem like a small thing, but I’m doing all of this in my own little way to build an identity as a writer, something readers can eventually recognize as mine.

I'm not even sure if anyone will ever read this, but if you do, welcome. My name is Bedserker.
First of all, thank you for stopping by my blog. And an even bigger thank you to everyone who has bought my books on ZBookStore. Seriously, thank you. Thank you so much. Your support means more than you know, and it's what keeps me excited and motivated to keep writing, especially the Bedserker Intimatic Universe.
Some of you might be wondering what my long term plan is for the Bedserker Intimatic Universe. Where is it all going?
The idea is actually pretty simple. Every BIU book is a standalone story with its own protagonist, set in a different country and following a different life. But as the universe grows, these characters will eventually cross paths and become connected in unexpected ways.
One thing I want to do with BIU is focus on protagonists who are minorities or people pushed to the margins of society, but not in the way most mainstream books usually approach the topic. I'm not interested in writing the same kinds of marginalized characters that are already common in fiction, such as LGBTQ+ characters. Instead, I'm drawn to people who are marginalized for very different reasons. For example, a stepchild who develops sexual feelings for a stepparent. A Muslim woman who chooses not to wear a hijab, enjoys reading erotic novels, and lives as part of a Muslim minority in her country. Or an undercover police officer who is framed and shunned by the very institution they devoted their life to because of false accusations. Those are the kinds of characters you'll find at the heart of the Bedserker Intimatic Universe.
That said, I also write stories outside of BIU. Sometimes they're novelettes, sometimes short stories, and sometimes full length novels that have nothing to do with the universe at all. Those projects give me the freedom to experiment with any characters or ideas that inspire me.
There is one thing all of my books have in common, though. They are written for adults. Mature content is a core part of my work and of the identity behind my pen name, Bedserker. If you're under the legal age to read adult material where you live, please don't buy or read my books.
