I hung up the phone and ran down the stairs, taking two at a time and almost skidding on the rug at the bottom. I could hear my sisters’ voices in the kitchen and ran toward them.

“Gemma has a spare ticket to Helix Fest because Olivia dropped out!”

I jumped up and down before continuing. “Oh my god, it’s going to be so sick.” I opened the refrigerator and got myself a glass of peach iced tea, taking a big gulp.

Piper and Cece looked at each other. Piper, my oldest sister, spoke. “Wait, what? You don’t think you’re going to that festival, do you?”

I glared at Piper. Was she serious? What was the point of having my older sisters watch over me while our parents were away if I couldn’t get away with a little more than usual? Mom and Dad wouldn’t let me go. I’d already asked when the tickets first went on sale. Mom said she didn’t think it was safe, and Dad mostly agreed with whatever Mom said.

I tried to argue that I was 22 and had a job and they couldn’t stop me from using my own money to spend my free time how I wanted. But Mom said while I was still living at home, I had to abide by their rules.

And now, Mom and Dad had enlisted Piper and Cece to enforce those rules. Piper was 26 and had moved out three years ago to take a job as an associate lawyer in the city. Cece was 24 and always more of a free spirit. She got out of the house as soon as she could, by going away to college. She never came back in any real sense. She would be back in town for short stretches, but always crashed with friends, until recently when she got her own apartment across town. She was a hairdresser and did my hair for free whenever I wanted.

They’d both come home at the request of our parents, who were away on a spa weekend for their anniversary. At 22 I resented the idea I needed babysitting, but I did cause a small fire last time they were away, and forgot to set the alarm system when I went out with my friends for the night. Someone broke in and stole all of Dad’s expensive golf clubs, our new sound system, and Mom’s jewelry. I was forgiven but never to be trusted again, apparently.

“Come onnnnn,” I whined. “It’s literally just Saturday and Sunday, I’ll be back before Mom and Dad get home on Monday.”

“I don’t care, you’re not going.” Piper had on her serious voice.

I pouted at her. “Why?” I whispered. This was so unfair.

“Because it’s not safe. There will be alcohol, God knows what else, partying, and half the people there will be futas.”

“So?” I waved my arms. “You and Cece are futas.”

They both laughed and Cece flicked her long blonde hair over her shoulder, shaking her head like I was being stupid.

I knew there would be futas there, of course. While I was mainly going to hang out with my friends, I didn’t mind if I met some hot girl with a big dick.

Piper looked at Cece. “Do you want to spell it out for her?”

Cece shook her head again. “Nope, all on you.” She bent over the kitchen island, leaning in a relaxed kind of pose, but it made her tits pull together and spill out of her top a little. I looked away quickly, snapping my eyes back to Piper.

Piper sighed. “I thought as much. Verity, you’re ovulating and there’s no fucking way I’m going to trust hundreds of futas I don’t know to behave themselves at a festival where the whole point is lowering inhibitions.”

My face heated, partly from anger and partly from the ovulation comment. I had no idea how Piper would know that, but it was true. I got a notification from my app that morning to say it
