THE VIRGIN’S INTERVIEW

AN EROTIC SHORT

I had moved to London to try and remake myself, away from the small pokey community I had grown up in for nearly twenty four years. Mum and Dad were cautious of the move and told me to wait but I just couldn’t. My employment prospects were bleak back home and as silly as it sounds I had never had a real relationship.

I couldn’t tell you why but I think most of it was the fault of my confidence. I tend to get quiet and blush a lot when I meet a guy I like and competing with the bubbly airheads is exhausting. Career wise, I wanted to be a novelist somewhere down the line but was willing to take anything to support myself in the meantime.

That was evermore so the case now. I’ve burned through my three month money cushion in just two months, blame shopping, and sitting on my own in this cafe and hoping the coffee would bring some kind of revelation doesn’t seem to be playing out. I stare at the latte and the cute little love heart the hot barista served me ten minutes before.

It had turned luke warm now and I wasn’t fully committed to drinking it yet. I was half evaluating my life and half kicking myself for the mumbling red faced wreck I’d turned into when the barista had tried to engage in small talk. My haste to escape must have come across as either rude or strange. It was certainly the latter but despite how hard I tried I couldn’t overcome the fear. I powered on my laptop once I’d given myself enough of a talking to and looked at the local job listings.

If I was a doctor or fully qualified teacher it looked like I’d never be out of work but unfortunately I was neither. I slumped in my chair and my head rested on the top of my breasts. I sighed low and pressed refresh in vain. I got lost in the movement of breath up and down in my chest and stared for I’m not sure how long at the screen until an unfamiliar voice snapped me back to reality.

“The market’s not like it used to be,” he said. I turned and felt a blush creep up my face almost immediately. He was an incredibly good looking guy and a snappy dresser to boot. His skin was olive washed as if he spent a large portion of his time abroad on a tropical beach somewhere. His hair was black and bed ruffled and his platinum blue eyes seemed to stare straight through me. He was very handsome and I felt a little light headed from the rush.

“I don’t suppose, no,” I managed without fainting; I’m not sure how.  He smiled and pulled the vacant chair opposite me out. He now joined me on my two seater table, in the dark corner of the coffee shop. I wasn’t complaining but I did note that he never asked.

He sat across from me and I must have looked like a deer in the headlights. I could feel my temperature rising as my fringe clung to my forehead. I was a shy, hot, sweaty mess and I half wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.

“If you’re looking for work I run a local business, if you can come in for an interview of course,” his voice was warm and husky and I guessed he was in his early thirties.

“How local, I-I-I don’t drive?”

“You’re sitting in it,” he smiled broadly showing his perfect white teeth. “But where are my manners? I haven’t introduced myself have I? I’m Gabriel Peters.”

He held out his hand and when I took it my hand was already shaking. He politely never mentioned it, even though he couldn’t have failed to notice.

“Mary Porter.” Without warning he kissed my hand and goose pimples crept up my spine. My nipples hardened under my silk shirt but thankfully the winter coat I had yet to take off saved my blushes.

“Pleasure to meet you. I’m looking for a PA to keep me in check if that interests you?” His legs brushed against mine under the table and I felt a moistness in-between my legs as I blushed so intensely I must have looked radioactive.

“Yes, I’d be very interested. Thank you.”

“I’ve got to das
